Everyone loves golden brown crispy potatoes. But one thing people don’t love about them is how bad they are for you. Because most recipes call for a lot of oil, standard roasted potatoes are too high in calories and fat to enjoy on a regular basis. That’s where these incredible air fryer roasted crispy potatoes come in.

Air Fryer Roasted Crispy Potatoes

With the same drool-worthy texture, but with a fraction of the calories and ready in less than half the time, these healthy baked potatoes are sure to become your new go-to side dish. Serve them to friends and family without mentioning your secret and they’ll never be able to tell they’re not regular roasted potatoes.

Simple and speedy

To make regular roasted potatoes, you first need to boil the potatoes for 10-15 minutes to soften them. Then you need to wait for them to slowly roast in the oven, which can take up to one whole hour. If you’re craving crispy golden deliciousness right now, the waiting time can be too much to handle!

These air fryer potatoes are a much easier and faster choice. You don’t need to boil the potatoes at all. Simply preheat the air fryer, chop the potatoes into cubes, mix them with the oil and spices then leave to cool. You’ll have a crowd-pleasing side dish in no time at all.

Super crispy

One of my favorite things about these air fryer roasted crispy potatoes is their incredible texture. The outsides are so crispy and crunchy, while the insides are wonderfully light and fluffy. It’s the perfect texture contrast that never gets old. After your first bite, you’ll really struggle to believe these potatoes are healthy. That’s how good they are!

Healthy alternative

You usually need loads of oil to make roasted potatoes as delicious and crispy as these. But consuming large quantities of oil is terrible for your health. A great work around for this is to use an air fryer to make roasted potatoes instead of roasting them traditionally in the oven.

With an air fryer, you only need a tiny amount of oil to get the same (sometimes better!) results you’d get through other cooking methods. The texture is just as incredible as if you’d made the potatoes the traditional way. But you get none of the negative side effects associated with using lots of oil.

Get creative

I absolutely love the spice mix that coats these air fryer roasted potatoes. It tastes incredible! But feel free to get creative and use your own spice blend to mix things up. Try adding extra chili powder for a more powerful kick, use curry powder for an exotic burst or include basil and oregano for a Mediterranean flavor.

What to serve with these air fryer roasted crispy potatoes

These amazing air fryer roasted potatoes are so delicious they go with practically everything. Serve them as a side dish to classic vegan burgers, vegetable lentil fritters, or parmesan shrimp. If you’re craving a savory snack, you can even enjoy these crispy potatoes all on their own with some vegan mayonnaise for dipping.
