When asked to name a food high in potassium, most people think of bananas. But did you know that sweet potatoes are actually higher in potassium than bananas? One medium sweet potato contains 12% of your recommended daily allowance of the vitamin. Stress has been proven to lower potassium levels. So during stressful times like these, it’s important you nourish your body with all the potassium you can get.

Less stress, more sweet potato fries!

Are air fried fries healthy?

Yes, air fried fries are healthy. Because you need cups and cups of nutritionally-empty oil to make regular fries in a deep-fryer. But these sweet potato fries use a tiny amount of avocado oil which is rich in healthy fats and antioxidants. Not only that, but sweet potatoes are jam-packed with many more nutrients than regular potatoes, making them an all-round healthier and more nutritious alternative.

Get the kids involved

Because these sweet potato fries are made in the air fryer, they’re much safer to make than regular fries. That means you can get the little ones involved and show them how much fun it can be to make healthy food at home. If you find yourself with a lot of spare time on your hands and nowhere to go, showing your kids how to make these sweet potato fries is a great way to help them develop a love of cooking and teach them a valuable skill they’ll need in the future.

What to serve with these air fryer sweet potato fries

I love dipping these sweet potato fries into thick, creamy vegan mayonnaise like you see in the pictures, but they go great with any kind of dipping sauce. You can use the fries to scoop up delicious mouthfuls of this Easy Avocado Hummus or dunk them into your favorite sauce.

To make these smoky air fryer sweet potato fries part of a main meal, pair them with these air fryer fish tacos. You can use extra cilantro sauce from the tacos as a dipping sauce for the fries. Yum!
